The American Crafts Festival is free-admission festival that is going to be held at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts from 11 to 12 June and 18 and 19 June 2011. The festival will showcase more than 35,000 uniquely designed original creations with a total estimated value of nearly $20 million. Rest assured art and craft lovers from every corner of this globe will be booking their flights to New York and many would have already done that! The word HIFA, is abbreviation of "Harare International Festival of Arts". This is the largest national festival which has now turned into an international event. The festival attracts great attention from western media as well as UNESCO, as it is a means of saving and reviving the rich African traditions. The colorful and energetic events and dances performed during this festival are a means of narrating historical tales, legendry stories and myths, passed on from generations to generations.

Martial arts have long been my favourite genre of movies. From classics like the Karate Kid, to Kill Bill and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, it's hard to think there could be much better out there, but recently, my eyes have been opened to a whole new way to watch movies. The arts stream has been in favor since ages, may be from the time the college education was formulated. Many students have taken admissions into the colleges that offer arts subjects which are quite varied. They have passed the bachelor degree courses, and gone on to do masters courses of which many have also done their doctorate degrees. Since, arts stream has long been associated with academics, this has been a chosen stream by many students.
The favoritism for arts stream has been among students in particular and public in general, because of the wide range of subjects that can be pursued and bright careers made out of it.
